What CharterJetCalc is
CharterJetCalc is a free tool that estimates what a private jet charter should cost between two airports. It covers 76 business-aviation airports and 10 written route guides, and it publishes its entire method. It is not an operator, not a broker, and not a booking platform — it cannot sell you a flight and does not try to.
The site exists because charter pricing is deliberately opaque. Almost every "instant quote calculator" in this industry is a contact form: you enter a route, you enter your phone number, and a salesperson calls you. We wanted the number first, so we built the thing that shows it.
What we are not
- Not an operator. We own no aircraft, hold no air carrier certificate, and employ no crew.
- Not a broker. We do not arrange flights, take bookings, hold client money or negotiate with operators on anyone's behalf.
- Not a live pricing feed. Our figures are calculated from published rate bands, last reviewed August 15, 2026. The only live pricing on the site is the clearly-labelled partner panel inside the calculator, and that is our partner's figure, not ours.
- Not staffed by a named aviation expert. We say so plainly below.
How we make money
CharterJetCalc is free to use and carries no advertising beyond our partner. When you request quotes through Villiers Jets, our affiliate partner, we may earn a referral fee on a completed booking. That fee is paid by Villiers Jets out of its own commission and does not change the price you are quoted. It also does not influence our estimates: the rate bands, the recommendation rule and the route guides are produced independently and are published in full on our methodology page.
Concretely: Villiers Jets is our affiliate partner. Links to them are marked as sponsored. If you submit the quote form in the calculator, your details go to them — not to us — and they contact you directly. We are told when a booking completes and paid a share of their commission. Nothing about that flow changes the price you are quoted, and nothing about it changes what our calculator returns: the estimate is computed in your browser from a static data file, before any partner is contacted at all.
We are paid when people book flights, and we publish the prices of flights. The safeguard is that our model is public and testable: every rate band, rounding rule and assumption is on the methodology page, the arithmetic is checked by an automated test suite on every build, and none of it has a lever that could quietly favour a partner. If we ever inflated a number to make a broker's quote look better, the method page would show it.

We do not have a named, publicly verifiable aviation professional reviewing this content, and we are not going to invent one. Plenty of sites in this category carry a "reviewed by an industry expert" badge attached to nobody in particular; we would rather say what is true. Our pages are built on published operator and broker rate cards, manufacturer performance data, airport and FBO documentation, and quotes we have collected ourselves — all of which is checkable, which is the part that actually matters. If and when a named reviewer joins, their name and credentials will appear on every page they review.
What the numbers describe
Our rate bands cover the United States and Canada, on-demand single-entity charter. Routes outside that market are shown with a deliberately widened range and a note explaining why. We would rather publish a wide honest range than a narrow invented one.
